Any advice on what exhaust to use on a 1Y engine conversion?
The exhaust fitted by previous owner is incredibly loud!!
I’m not expecting quiet out of an old diesel but I’m pretty sure it can be quieter than it is now!

you'll have to make one... or have one made.. nothing off the shelf will fit/work and be good..
I've had the best results with a 2.1 silencer and welded up pipes..
but saying that mines blowing like a fat lad on a marathon and needs re-doing.
Remember a lot of the noise comes on the intake - get some pics up of BOTH

On my 1Y I've just swapped the original CS system for a later KY one. Minimal mods required. It's not much quieter, though. It's mostly induction noise.
