Wheel swap.
Hi there, could anyone help me out with some info on a wheel and tyre swap. The wheels I have to go on are merc steels 6j x 16 ET 54 H2. The centres are 66mm. Will they fit and what length studs will I need, spacer thickness and I was thinking g of all terrain tires. I was told they came off a T25 and were from a guy who breaks them. Kind regards Andrew South Wales. Anybody in this area of the country who has bits and knowledge would be nice too.

Re: Wheel swap.
ET is a bit high, 20mm spacers I would say plus associated studs/bolts.
As for length you'll need to measure the originals (or find out) and add whatever thickness of spacers you decide to go with.

Re: Wheel swap.
The figures 6j x 16 ET 54 H2, refer to a n MB wheel P/N 6394011602, which is stamped on the wheel.
If this is the wheel, it originates from a second generation Vito, fits the T25 without any problem and enables brake upgrades without the need for spacers.
I use these on my Syncro.
As long as no rear brake upgrade is carried out, the original studs should be fine.

I thought original wheels had an et between 30-37 approx so won't these sit too far in?
You obviously know what you're talking about so not disagreeing with you.

Re: Wheel swap.
The original Syncro 16" rims are 5.5 x 16 ET 34 with VW P/N 251601027A, so you are correct.shepster wrote: ↑11 Feb 2023, 14:24Oren Kipnis wrote: ↑10 Feb 2023, 22:56 The figures 6j x 16 ET 54 H2, refer to a n MB wheel P/N 6394011602, which is stamped on the wheel.

Several 16" steel rims have been offered for the second generation Vito, bearing different offsets.
The 6394013302 is 6.5 x 16 ET 60, and as far as I remember, there was another dimension.

Re: Wheel swap.
I'm confused now, you say syncro wheels have an offset of 34 yet also say wheels with an offset of 54 will fit?Oren Kipnis wrote: ↑11 Feb 2023, 19:32The original Syncro 16" rims are 5.5 x 16 ET 34 with VW P/N 251601027A, so you are correct.shepster wrote: ↑11 Feb 2023, 14:24Oren Kipnis wrote: ↑10 Feb 2023, 22:56 The figures 6j x 16 ET 54 H2, refer to a n MB wheel P/N 6394011602, which is stamped on the wheel.

I'm not sure this fella has a syncro anyway, just don't want to advise anyone incorrectly.
