Hi all,

These may all be related but here goes... three problems

1. it keeps popping open when driving.. sometimes not for a few days.I have tried moving the striker plate, it doesnt pop out as much and open after doing this but still pops out.

Sorry to much questions I know... any ideas??

3. When the door does open.. stationary, it doesnt catch and stay in place. its as if the catch on the door has vanished.

Most probably the locking catch isn't clicking over due to wear or it's gunged up with dry grease etc. Shut the door and look to see if the catch is moving over the pin, if not try moving it over with a screwdriver to see if it just stiff.

Or the spring on the catch is missing, as on mine.
As for low, mines low too, and has had popping open issues too. Haynes has advice on adjustment of position, I think I just kept footering with it, and also dismantled the latch to clean and lubricate.

Door adjustment is a pain..
That said I did replace lower runner track and centre rail.. so I guess should be thankful it opens and closes!!
Fiddled with the hinge and lower runner to get it the best I can..
Just trial and error once it gets close to good enough!
