Penta Alloys and 205/70/15 ET23
I have just bought a set of Mercedes Penta alloys which are 7Jx15 and I am planning to fit 205/70/15 tyres. The offset is ET23. This size will keep the rolling radius pretty similar so no speedo problems. I have fitted longer studs at the back, bought 60 deg taper nuts, and bought longer bolts for the front. I have trial fitted the wheels on the front and the back with no tires fitted (on axle stands) and they fit but it looks like the rear is going to be very close to the sliding door when it opens.
Can anyone who has this set up confirm that it will all fit OK?

For those interested, I can confirm that Mercedes Penta 7jx15 ET23 fitted with 205/70R15 Falkan VAN01 tyres fit a T25 with 50mm lowering springs perfectly with no spacers and no rubbing!!
I would post some pictures but I have no idea how to!!!

I can indeed confirm that 7Jx15H2E23 Penta alloys with 205/70R15C Falken tyres fit perfectly and do not rub suspension or sliding door.

For the sake of 10-15 quid l would get one tyre fitted and test rear sliding door. Then remove and mount on front axle for lock to lock inspection. Do a test with tyre on ground taking weight of van.
BTW l do recall an extender hinge for side door for such an issue.

Exstending the door hinge is posible.
Extract from our blog below, copped here as the blog still throughs up security alerts sorry
Hope this helps.

Our expectations & reasoning behind this.
When we fitted larger wheels on the van, we knew in addition to extending the wheel arches we would also need to increase the clearance between the sliding door and the rear wheel.
This has now been done thanks mostly to Doug @ Dougs VW Werks as although I was happy to extend the runner I am still a bit reluctant to start cutting the van.
Extend side door runner.
Very pore clearance (slite rub when tyre flexes) and definitely no room for chains.
The original side door runner.
Extending the door runner, (Photos and work by Doug @ Dougs VW Werks)
Whatever length added to the swinging link (measured after welding centre-to-centre, ) is the distance the stop has to be moved backwards. so anything more than I have extended mine by will need the reassessed area at the end of the runner to be also be extended (see arrows in the photo below).
There's a video of the door running on the blog
We have also taken the opportunity whilst the mechanism was apart to replace the runners with nylon rollers more on this when we have used them for a while
Pros.
Wheel rub problem solved.
We can now open the door fully with the chains fitted.
Nylon rollers should make the door quieter to use. ?
Cons.
Item is no longer stock so harder to replace, (spare arm needs to be fabricated).
Nylon rollers may wear quicker. ? (replacement rollers on order metal rollers kept).

All bought from Brickwerks.any chance you know the bolt length/studs etc that you used for this?
WHEEL STUD - M14X1.5 / 50MM
FRONT WHEEL BOLT - M14X1.5 / TAPERED SEAT / 35MM
REAR WHEEL NUT - M14X1.5 / TAPERED SEAT (60°) / OPEN END / ZINC PLATED
Door clearance is not a problem. My van is lowered by 50mm and I have a clearance of 0.5-0.75" between the wheel and the door.

Excellent, thank you!
