Heater motor and dashboard :-(

Hi, after a long time not using the van, we had some work done to get it up and running as it wouldn't start. It's now working & MOT'd (hooray) and was about to drive it off and realised that the heater motor isn't working (I've checked the fuses already). Before I ask the mechanic to work on it I wondered if someone can give some advice if they're familiar with this. My questions:
    • Does the steering column need removing to get to the dashboard for the total dashboard removal?
Once we get to the motor - what next? I.e. does anybody know of somewhere (Midlands area) to get a second hand one or do you somewhere that will sell them? I called GSF & they have one listed for £44 (obviously I need to check it once the dash is off).

Don't forget to buy the two resistors if ordering from Brickwerks.

Variable switch looks interesting & useful. Though I think I’ll have to leave that until another time when I have time to do it - as I’m paying someone to fix it this time so fitting costs might mount up.
Thanks though, I’ve had a read & seems like a good fix.
