If they'll fit a defender (lucas fitting), most T25 light bowls will accept them.

Thanks. This is certainly something to bear in mind for the future. I want to look at getting the twin headlight set up. Already done the wiring upgrade with 4 relays and a warning buzzer, but fancy a bit better vision during the winter.

I definitely opt for function over form - but I think theyd look out of place - but as you say, seeing where you are going is a bonus

Hi, I have a very similar light fitted to my motorbike and they do look a little strange but give good light output, however these lights are made for the U.S.A so do not have the 'kick-up' to the left when on dipped beam. The dip cut off is flat. Also the ones you have linked to are a tad expensive, there are plenty on Ebay for under £100 a pair though some look the same but don't have the 'angel eye' nor any side light/drl function.

They give a whiter light perhaps but don't light up much more (if any) than a halogen. The technology is still evolving. Most people grow tired of their headlights not putting out enough light and try brighter bulbs, relays, all sorts, but Hella units are NOT good to start with. Once I switched to modern reflector-based lights rather than Hella glass lens based (even with standard bulbs), I could see for miles, and I'm not over-driving anything:
