E D I T: Got our camper, insurance with RAC

We are picking up our first wedge tomorrow!

Thanks for all the great info I've gathered here on what to look for and where to buy!

Our present insurance company doesn't even know what a t25 camper is!

I never thought it would be such an ordeal!

Was wondering if you guys could tell us what to do to get it covered for the drive home first, and who are best agents to deal with. Phone numbers would be nice as we only have today to get it in order.

Thanks in advance,

Lloyd

Thanks Steve, already did that.

I'm trying to find out who to call.. phone number and name of agent kind of thing. Presonal reference from someone as to who to talk to. Like another wedge camper owner to be my agent for camper insurance.

no, they give club 80-90 members who are over the age of 25 discount! and believe me it took some time to get out of them the reason why they wouldn't give me discount!

Just got back with our new camper!

Billy met us at the train, spent a few hours showing us everything about the camper including a full tank of petrol, oil, coolant, some spares, gas bottles, awning, and even a bottle of 2004 vintage French wine. We paid and got the the registeration and away we went at about 7:30pm. Spent out first night in the back of a Little Chef on the 303 between London and Exeter. We stopped to fuel up and they told us we could just pull in back for the night. Did a little sight seeing this morning and back to Brixham about noon.

Good solid camper. Not a show queen, but everything works, as rust free and any user I've seen, and we don't have to worry about trying to keep it in 'showroom condition' for resale value.

Looking forward to meeting other brick drivers at DF!!

I'll try and get some pics and post later.... But if you've seen Billy with it, it's the same rig!!

Thanks for everything Billy!!! Will be in touch

Lloyd & Nicky

good news indeed....and may I say that you have a good van there, Billy is well respected on this forum and his van was a reflection of that...congratulations and now ....breath in, relax, and enjoy yourselves.

"plug'n'play" vans fabulous. :D :D :D
