Disc dust shield screw removal

LHD 16 TD 1988
Hi all I've taken my front discs off to replace the rotten dust shields with some stainless steel ones from brickwerks .They are held on with three screws each, I've wire brushed, pro gassed penetrate oil,impact screw drivered them and not one will move anybody had the same and how did they get round it .

Yea thought so I've no acetylene will a blow tourch get em hot enough ??????

if they shear then it'll be drill out time

Did one of mine when I did the bearing- there was nothing left of the shields but a few scraps. Got two screws out with a hammer and punch using the technique referenced in the wiki

And drilled out the third. I'm in no hurry to do the other side until that bearing goes too...

I had to drill mine out and then retap the holes.

4 out of 6 of mine came out by 'shocking ' them with a drill driver. Last 2 I dremelled two edges straight, hammered on a spanner and they turned out.
