I would like one!
I've seen there were a few for sale here on this forum, but i was too late.
Do I really only need to buy one that plugs into number 36 on the fuse box? Is it that simple?
I've left my lights on far too many times.

Thanks all

Is it a case of just plugging the 292 in or are there other components required?

There are basically two ways to use it. You can wire it up to function as originally designed, when the driver opens the door with lights on and ignition off, the buzzer sounds. To do it this way the relay is mounted on top of the plate using a VW relay base, and a two-contact door switch is required (plus some wire). The other way is to plug it into position 7 on the relay plate, in which case the buzzer sounds with lights on and ignition off. (I think this depends on some other relay being present elsewhere on the plate, but you'd better check on that.)

The extra relay is what Itchyfeet had mentioned earlier on when asked about it, he thought maybe the programmable intermittent wiper relay was required.

Thanks all! I think i prefer the extremely easy option of plugging in it and away it goes (or doesnt go, hopefully!).

I have a 292 relay that I intended to fit to position 7 on the relay board but it already has a 373 relay fitted.373 anyone got one of these on their van? I think this van had some sort of immobiliser fitted before I got it 12 years ago. Could this relay have been for that? I guess I will just have to remove it and see if anything stops working!
