Hi there can anyone help my fuel gauge just died on the dash my temperature gauge as been playing up as you no I Have checked multiple all seems well .
Are they connected to one another have I got circuit behind dash problems if so can it be replaced sorry to miver guys

I think they are connected - kind of.
They both take a feed from a voltage regulator, which is a small black square with 3 pins on that is attached to the blue ribbon behind the clocks.

That regulator and the gauges also share an earth.

Push fit - but probably best to leave it in first and just look at the condition of ribbon.
Get a multi meter and make sure one terminal is switched 12v, one is earth and the other has 10v on it.

Then if that looks good, just note which screw terminal on the fuel gauge that the 10v terminal goes to.
Identify the other screw terminal on the fuel gauge that then goes to tank sender, and Earth that to the body of the van.
That should make the fuel gauge move if I am thinking correctly

Cheers guys all done today it was the voltage regulator thanks a £1.20 fix from maplins cheers for all ya help

Did it fix temp Gauge issues too?
