Quick query

Just done fuel lines and tank, can I just start it, or should I be trying to prime the pump first? If so, how do you do that? Suck the fuel through? I am under the impression that the fuel pump won't suck fuel through on tick over?

It's very hard to suck it through. Take it you've got a mechanical pump. When the carb has been dry for a while its easier to put a little petrol in the carb to get the pump working.

Yea mechanical pump. Cool, I'll try that then! Wasn't sure if running the pump dry will ruin gaskets/diaphragm?
Thanks

Good point, I've always had a bit of fuel in the lines, logically should be OK. Someone will be on here soon to give you a definitive answer.
