Virgin restoration project

Hi all please be gentle i am new to the VW world,
My Wife has bought me a C reg T25 for my 40th birthday keeping it secret for 5 months (more impressed the kids new and never let on)
However Mrs S didn't view or get anyone to go with her to see prior to buying,
In all honesty i am well chuffed with it although it will take a lot of hours go even get it half ready for the road.
It is as rotten as i have ever seen anything and as i have stripped the interior out have found more filler.
i will put some pics on but just wanted some advice as to where to start .
I have no issues with grinding/cutting/welding etc but am struggling to even think of a start point.
I have stripped the majority of the interior out.
is it best to sandblast or flapper or grind ?
if so where would i even get a sandblaster?
so many questions, I have a 3 year deadline lol as my son wants to use it as his prom ride.

That's one major rebuild project, I hope you have somewhere under cover to carry out the work.

If you only have 3 years you'd better get cracking :D

Wow !

Anything is repairable but it's all about time, experience and having very deep pockets.

Panels from Alan Schofield

Parts or panels from Brickwerks

Steel sheet from your local steel stock holders.

Might be worth you looking at body cuts from vehicles being scrapped.

bought mine from a scrapyard & wasn't far off the condition of yours , has taken me approx 3 1/2 yrs (also done the subaru conversion ) all done on my shared drive apart from the spray job , luckily i have understanding neighbours , i have thought about giving up on it a few times but we went out for a drive in it today for the first time & family loved it , was worth it but hard work , one tool i could not have done it without was a black & decker powerfile with the blue zirconia belts off ebay (they last a long time unlike the brown belts which break ) good luck ImageImage the first pic is when i first picked it up but when i stripped it down found it needed welding all over , the second pic was taken today still plenty to do but getting there :ok
