im restoring my t25 westy and stitching up my own canvas for the pop top. problem is i think it was a botch conversion but what im after is pics of where the poptop canvas attaches to the roof so i can do it properly. i dont think mine was factory as it was kind of glued down with seamsealer sort of stuff. any pics much appreciated.

On early Westy campers (1980 to 1983-ish), the tent fastens to the top with staples and a "tack strip." On later models (1984-ish to 1991) the tent fastens to the top with screws and an aluminum strip. If you have a 1983/1984 camper, please check your camper to see if you've got staples or screws

its an 82,they might have been factory fixings (strip of plastic on the inside sandwiching the canvas onto the roof fixed every 6 inch or so with screw, then bead of sealer type stuff on the outside) just wanted to see if others where the same or had other fixings.
