Confused Dot Com Housing Or Plates?

Hi Folks,
Am saving up for Scooby conversion, and am ready to make a move, but am still confused over best conversion by means of DIY ability, overall reliability of components.
Am thinking bellhousing to use higher torque scooby starter, but believe the DG engine with 4 speed box has a different transaxle position?
Engine electrics will be a doddle, as will speed sensoes etc, but the metal bolts and rest, really confuses me as to which config is best? Plate or Bell housing????

RJES bellhousing..
If you have to go adapter plate (no reason to really) the KEP one is the ONLY one I would use..
Engine mounts.. Aidan Talbot has a line on a really nice mount.. Exhaust system in the pipeline too.. as is a nice sump
Wiring.. if that's your thing then it might be easier than the average bloke.... but a loom from RJES or Syncroandy might be a better option (they are doing these regularly)
There is a difference in early/late vans at te cross member (only really affect aircooleds) and so the engine is in the same spot on later ones regardless of 4 or 5 speed as the different gearbox/engine combo's have a different front gearbox mount..

RJES Bellhousing gives you easiest and best clutch and starter choice and fits Aircooled, and watercooled 4 and 5 speed and syncro transmissions
after that your mount chice is diy, RJES, Small Car or copy
http://www.lmb-technik.com/ - I've gone with the latter one, drop them an email, real easy to deal with very nice price, mention my name, buying from eurozone real good value at the moment
