Water Pump Not Working?

Hi

After some advice really.

I've got a Reimo '91 with a water tank underneath and a pump to draw it up.

The light comes on when the pump switch is turned on but the water gauge only illuminates when the button below is pushed in and no water is drawn up.

All other electrics fine and operational.

Just after some advice really as to whether it maybe the pump or not?

Thanks for all your help.

I pic of the panel would help, but if it is anything like the one I just sold, the little button is just for illuminating and calibrating the gauge and the rocker switch is just a "master switch" for the pumps electrics. There may be another switch, either built into the tap, or elsewhere, mine has a foot operated switch, but I guess you would not have missed that if you had one !

You may well have to get your meter out and start tracing the 12 volt feed to the pump. Can you identify the 2 wires coming up from the pump ?

Pump feeds under the sink and connects to electrics

H, i've added a couple of photos (albeit the wrong orientation!).

So the pump switch turns on via the 12V and as you can see the light comes on. Out of the back of this the black cable feeds down into the unit and connects to the main board via the two red cables.

So there is power going to it - does this mean the pump itself is knackered?>

Thanks for any help - always appreciated.

Well if that choccy block wire connector is close to the actual pump, just operate the switch and see if you get 12Volts there. If you do, then it is likely a faulty (or just seized up) pump and will need looking at.

By the way, if poss can you post pictures using the recommended info Link here rather than uploading them as file attachments. It keeps the 80-90 server file sizes down ;)
