I was asked by a friend if I could as you guys if you could recommend a company that specializes in rebuilding Carbs to as new condition?

The Carb in question isn't a t25 carb but is VW a Solex from his 66 beetle 1200 :wink:

Hes looking for a specialist that can chemically clean and rebuild to original tolerances :wink:

Any suggestions ??????????

Thanks in advance

Jodie :)

Theres only one thing that wears on that solex - the throttle shaft and/or bushes. The gasket kit you can get easily.

Give Roger Ball a ring (he does mail order if you're not near Clacton, Essex). His number is on this page under 'Carb Wear' https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Fu ... -_Pierburg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

With any o-rings, diaphrams and gaskets removed, cellulose thinners does a brilliant job of degunking passageways etc. Brings it up like new.

Alternatively, give Ollie a call at Beetle Magic (01305-852338) - He's based in Moreton, Dorset so not to far away and maybe able to advise.
