Good reasons for buying a genuine Hi-Lift jack
1. The design has been around almost forever. Its proven, it works. Made in the USA from certified materials, not melted down scrap from the Far East.
2. Stronger than you'll ever need. Get one rated at 2 tons (imperial) at 48" means that it will safely support that load at that height i.e. safely withstanding the bending load on the mast.
Read the label carefully on your Chinese copy and see if it says the same.
3. Spare parts support. Email or ring up the good folk at Arbil 4x4 if you need anything at all.
I got a replacement 48" mast for mine next day in the post (fleabay refund scenario, ex-demo but the mast had been shortened and not mentioned...)
Happy lifting!

Mine's a Vapor Jack. Best part of 40 years old and still going strong. One of the first batch ordered in by the AWDC in the mid 70's.
No hits on a web search these days, though.

Here's the 'Jackall' apparently made in Canada and used by NATO.????
The 'Hi-lift' is a superior beast. As stated steer clear of inferior and dangerous Chinese 'Farm jacks'

Check my link above, they sell 'high lift', 'jackall' and accessories, or check ebay.
