OIL LIGHT and BUZZER

Hello, we have a T25 - 1988 1.9 standard water cooled van.

It has developed an annoying Buzz from the dash and the oil pressure light comes on, generally after 10-15 mins of driving.

Took it to our local garage in Eastbourne, Sussex and they have replaced the oil pressure switch, thought this had fixed it, but by the time I drove the van home the buzzer and light were back on.

He is suggesting and has tried to find this Control Unit 321919064M circuit board, but he is saying its not available any more.

I am at a loss, haven't a clue what to do, please help

I had that problem and it was a loose wire.

Have they done a pressure test to make sure the engine oil pressure is ok?

I suppose if the pressure was low the engine would go bang.

Mine happened in Austria, the garage replaced the oil pressure switches and did a pressure test. We risked it and drove home with that bloody buzzer going off for 400 miles. When home I had a look at further up the wire from the switch the wire had broken!!!

Try tracing the wires back from the switch and see if there are any weaknesses in the wire.

Find another garage what a terrible attitude
Its probably a wiring issue but it could be a genuine low oil pressure get it checked or check it yourself then work through the wiring

Wire over the engine broken is a common culprit

Thanks guys turns out it was the wire coming from one of the sensors was old and breaking down, even almost completely worn through at one point, seems to be ok for now fingers crossed.
