diesel mount bars reinforcing plate?

when i tried the mount bars in place on my (was petrol) van, i noticed that where they bolt to the rear valance, they overlap a bit and the top bolt hole seems to be hanging in the air above the valance.
i had a look on my brothers diesel van and there appears to be an extra plate welded to the valance:
does anyone just happen to have their bars off and can take me a photo?
i don't mind improvising, but would rather it looked exactly as it should.

Mines been converted from Petrol to diesel, will take a look tomorrow as I will be in there.

that shouldn't be too tricky to knock up
any closer pics would be much appreciated. from what i can see of my brothers, they seem to be just welded on at the corners. does that sound right?
