Thermostat, not bled correctly, blocked rad, head gasket the list can be quite extensive to be honest?

Hello,
Perhaps if your temp gauge is as optimistic ....
as my petrol gauge is pessimistic......
Then maybe its nothing to worry about...
Perhaps get a calibrated gauge to check the REAL water temp..
Never understood why VW went and put water in engines.....
Cordialement,

is the fan kicking in ? It should start at about 2 to 3 mins past 12 (12 being the white middle line). it should then change up a gear at about 10 past 12,i have no experience of this even on a 11 1/2 journey from cornwall to hull. are you getting heat in the cab?
take the front grill off, crack open the nut 1/4 turn top left on the rad or until you get the hiss of air flowed by water without bubbles. or you might get water straight away.
also if you have air in the system and you remove the darlek cap the coolant will flow out. do it with the engine cold
here's the best way to do it
