Rightio chaps and chapettes.

I've had the dizzy apart this evening to clean up etc and attach a new vac advance.

However, in cleaning it up, I found bits of magnetized debris. Erm...?

And when I got down to the weights, there was only one spring. Is that right? Here's a pic.

It's worked alright until recently so don't know ...

Hello,

Its all there...

Put the dizzy in a big enough jar, and fill with paraffin..

Leave overnight,

Drain, compressor air jet dry dry.....

Easy test after.. hold on its side and turn the shaft by hand.. should feel regular all the way round..

Check that the platform moves easily, no grit..

Have fun..

Cordialement,

don't forget to oil the centrifugal mech after cleaning, there should be a felt pad in the central shaft just below the rotor arm which should be regularly oiled also.

New dizzy seal will also help stop your engine going black
