Hi all. Just lately, after been stood idle for a couple of weeks, I'm finding that after starting engine from cold it struggles to tick over and I have to keep revving it to keep it going. When I set off she seems as though she's misfiring, until she's warm then there's no problem and runs lovely. I'm wondering if its a problem with my choke. I have 1900 manual petrol. Any ideas guys?.

remove the duct and check choke operation

from stone cold, after the choke has been set. (depress the acc. once fully and release)

There should be a 3mm gap between the flap and throat.
start the engine without throttle.
if you depress the acc. the flap should open as the revs rise.
as the engine warms and the carb heaters get to work
the flap should fully open in around 6-8 mins

tell us what is not happening after you investigate.

get some wd40 and spray the choke spindle assembly...liberally
then work it in to the joints
