Hi, I put out a plea for help with my Pierberg carb the other day, problems with back fires and no tick over.
the replies where mostly about air leaks, but I could not work out why plugs were black etc, assumed it was over choked.
Bought £5 worth of replacement hoses today, mainly the large one on the manifold for servo and it bloody well works. Ive been trying everything else but that for like ever.
Now I can book it in for its first MOT for 7 years. Came onto my drive on a flat bed trailer and will be going out under its own steam. So thanks a lot for all your help, I must bow to your better knowledge.

We all have to bow sometimes....


the stuff some of these guys know is amazing....and is not to be found in any book xx

It might be good if you finish the peirburg post with a conclusion, so when folks search they will see an answer to the issue
