I tried reading the thread on gauges, but got lost.

I really want oil pressure, temp and water temp, but don't have a clue where to start.

I'm in for 3 of each. Temp scales are more suitable than the Golf/Audi ones, that read 170*C full scale for oil

I have just fitted a golf/Audi trio of gauges ,and since fitted a lower than 170deg oil temp gauge(120) which looks just like these ones. The only problem with them is the illumination . The golf ones are orange/red and bright ... Nice! But there are barely lit at all even with the brightest bulb I could get, also they have a very bulky build holder that was too long for my pod so had to wangle a bulb holder in.

any idea where to get the senders cheap??

anyone had any experience with the cheaper oil pressure senders?? i would rather be paying 15-20 quid instead of 50

Gauge pod kit consisting of
EGT
OIL temp
OIL pressure
Turbo boost pressure
Perfect for a tdi conversion comes with binnacle in brown or black (led housed where heated seat switch would go... factory look) your choice and brain (slightly larger than a pack of 20 ciggs) so nice n compact, also audible speaker set your chosen parameters
And if exceeded you will be notified with a buzzzzzz, joystick for scrolling between readings, i would say best left showing all four readings
Uncompleted project and 98% there you will have to run wiring from engine bay if fitting to a t3
All brand new and high quality sensors from the good old USA will take £250 (basically cost) plus £10.00 postage
Note: some fettling with plexy plastic will have to be done to fill 3mm each side of led display ,see pictures to determine how /what best to infill with, a model shop will have what’s required....penny’s.. Cheers all
