Biggest tyre on original 14" steels

Hi guys, its a morning for questions, seems I have T25 on the brain today!
Anyway I was thinking about the biggest Tyre I could fit on my original 14" steels?
I'm confident that 195/14c would fit but how about 205/14c or even 215/14c?
Cheers

Here's a list of standard combinations. According to this, at least the 215s would require 6" wide rims (like syncro steelys):
135 3,5 - 4,5
145 3,5 - 5,0
155 4,0 - 5,0
165 4,0 - 5,5
175 4,5 - 6,0
185 4,5 - 6,5
195 5,0 - 7,5
205 5,0 - 8,5
215 6,0 - 8,5
225 6,0 - 9,0
235 6,5 - 9,5
245 8,0 - 9,5
255 8,5 -10,0
265 10,0-11,0

Thanks for the info my friend!
So according to the wiki the stock wheel is 5.5 inch so looks like I will get away with 195 or 205 at a push.

So what's the difference between the rolling radius (or the diameter) from a standard 185 (14)and a 195 or 205 (if not low profile in any way, I think they call std profile tyres "80's")

I think about 2.5 for 195 and 4.5% for 205 so speedo will read slow and van will take less revs per mile.
This is what im looking for to aid the reduction of revs and to look nice and big. I think Im going to go for 205. May have one put on a spare wheel and test fit.
May even go for winter tyres as the van sees so little action they will last for ages and help in the cold.
cheers

Watching to see your findings as I too have been considering this for all the reasons you quote above (I do think std ride height on std 14's looks a bit wimpy too

) Plus the slower reading on the speedo might actually make it more accurate !
