Anyone got a link with photos on how they come apart

Drill the rivits out and pull it apart.

Just to make it clear, are you wanting to remove the sliding window from the frame, or split the frame? Also, is it a factory sliding window?

they are factory fitted sliders and i want to remove the glass from the frame so i can paint the alloy frame black

There's a video on youtube, (I think someone on here put it up) that shows how to remove the sliding glass.

it didn't quite work for me though so I just pressed the frame gently to get the glass out with the runner still in place. The frame was only slightly overlapping the window runner, less than a mm.

Someone else may suggest this isn't a good idea, but it worked for me. I'd wait for the opinion of a seasoned sliding window removerer first though before listening to me.

As for removing the non moving glass from the frame, if you really want to do it, I'd probably just work out how it went in and try and work backwards through that process. Someone else might have some better advice for you though.
