Fitted a new fuel gauge today but it wouldn't work either. Turns out that the new tank sender I fitted two years ago is knackered. The earth connection has corroded off. Not an easy job fitting a sender unit in situ AFAIK

hi all would'nt worry about buying wine and booze in france its just as cheap here in germany my lass buys wine for about 1 euro a bottle and she reckons its good as do her mates.as for beer you can buy 20 half litre bottles of 5.5% vol lager for 9 euros and you get 3.20 back for the empty crate and bottles when you return it.or if your really extravagant its about 13 euros for 20 half litre bottles of krombacher pils.again 3.20 deposit returnable on the crate.recovery .get ADAC plus ,covers you for all of europe and you can get it from england etc. costs about 70-80 euros a year and it is goood. hope this helps .i think its pointless wasting fuel carrying booze as its heavy and bulky .oh one last thing .i posted this the other week on general chat and had a couple of replies .fuel in belguim and especially holland is very expensive.2 weeks ago it was 1.56 in belguim and 1.59 in holland for petrol .diesel is cheaperi think about 1 20 ish.in germany tonight while out walking the dog petrol was 1.40 and diesel 1.19 euros. the other day in the same garage it was 1.36 .iknow they have special prices in different garages on different days but the average is about 1.38 petrol 1.18 diesel.see ya all soon mel.drive safely

I haven't started packing the bus yet, but I have bought a case (24) of Pilsner Urquell and a case of Krostitzer Schwarz Beir.
You'll all welcome to pop round for one (only valid as long as stocks lasts).
