An uncut panel van is pure. They should be cherished and prized.

Well mine was one until some butcher put holes in it, now I'm slowly retro unfitting the holes...putting the something back where the nothing is..

Funny I only just realized how much time Alan spends in my van cooking Etc before retreating back to the dog kennel to sleep, though to be fair both him and Harriet still hunch over while cooking even though the roof is up

I do hear what you are all saying and there's every possibility that a westy might suit my needs, that said there's quite a few times over the years when it wouldn't have.
Truth be told I quite enjoy the challenge of making the space in my van work and there's definitely times when I've hated the process, but I have figured out loads of things along the way which I probably wouldn't know now otherwise.

One of the initial thoughts behind my interior was always that the maximum amount of time possible would be spent outside so the interior could remain more in the 'utility' spectrum. Funnily enough, I've never notice not being able to stand up as I've never been able to, would be nice though.

Obviously i don't know for sure (who does) but i saw some figures being banded around a while back that suggested there were possibly as little as 251 Syncro panel vans produced in RHD...

Clutch friction plate center has been machined down to fit inside the guide tube (thanks Dave!), Box is back in and all bolted up. Rear brakes serviced while it was up on axle stands. Just got to bleed the clutch and mechanically everything should be sorted.

Actually going to pick it up tomorrow, i cant wait to see it!! Excited just doesn't come close!!!

Only thing letting it down now will be the doors. I need to find a good set of straight doors with green glass in them so i can drop them off to Darren to work his magic.
There's also other little bits and bobs up high on the van to deal with as this time i could only afford to get everything below the swage line sorted. Its already booked back in to get the rest done sometime next year.

Has anyone actually seen an uncut 16" panel van ? I know I haven't but I did see this out and about on the bike today - parked up in a village garage . I'm offering it up as the first in the gallery of 'crimes against panel vans' ( albeit an LT) The ally side cladding is a door with a fixed full length picture window next to it. Remnants of something interesting once attached to the roof above. Not one for the purist.

Darren really has made an amazing job on that rear corner.
Considering that that panel is from a 2wd and the fuel filler had to be let into it on top of all the rest of the trickyness that replacing that panel incurs.

Really impressive stuff!
