Not realy much progress to see, been preppingb the paintwork for rollering.
Had to take more paint off than i wanted as it appears there was a problem with a previous respray , lots of pin holes between original top coat and a primer. Flatted back to orig top coat where possible to remove any trace of dodgy paint. also started covering a few inner panels.
cleaning mirror frames and respraying with smoothrite. ill get some pics up as and when.

there was more to rub down than i initialy thought forgot about everthing underneeth once the roof was popped.

yesterday was a bit crappy so made a start on fitting sound deadening felt.

well things have realy ground to a hault with the crap weather weve been having.
Ive sorted the wiringout behind the dash and generally tidied thbings up. Got the new dash painted the other week.

I used Rustoleum combi and was very pleased with the result.
Other than that ive sarted to insulate the internal cavities after i treated them all with Dinatrol also done the cills inner pillars and front door cavities.
hopefully paint will be going on when we get a clear patch

Phred, Andrea dislocated her knee 3 weeks ago so hasnt been doing much, thought it would be a bit off forcing her outside in the rain to do the last bit of welding.

decent weather for a change so it was out with the paint
1st off sorted the seams out , pic shows vactan in the seam .

did the same with the masking tape for the primer and sealant. Thats all those sorted
next onto the painting.
Before

used a matt white combi color
after

was well pleased with the result.
It took just over half litre(plus white spirit) to do the entire roof.
Ill give the lift up section another coat in a few weeks.
whilst in the mood i did the bumpers in satin black.
gonna try and get some if not all the body done tomoro
