Yep, I got the new pump from you, tried it today. Engine is fooked. Mine was the 2 ridge one. Took a lot of fiddling withe the hose clip to stop one connection leaking. Now have a nice shiny pump for the tdi

(probably doesn't use it

)

Could be, but I told myself tdi if the head needs to come off. I'll get it tested and sell on if it's ok, it had only done 80 tho when I bought it

Hi Lloydy, re. the coolant run-on circulation pump, you could easily keep it on the TDi, if you're retaining the JX style plumbing, as it's kinda needed to complete the circuit, as t'were.
Electrically, it's self-contained, just needs a relay in the junction box and a separate coolant sender. The diagrams'
here. If you use the right coolant flange on the TDi you should be able to use the TDi 4-pin temp sender plus the sender for the run-on pump. May not strictly be needed for the TDi as they run cooler, but if it's there it may as well do something. I'm planning to do this on the AFN I'm putting in my pickup anyway.

Yes I guess when there good they are awesome and when they are bad it's a complete pain.
With the box rebuilt and engine sorted how ever that needs to be done, it will be good to go anywhere for another 20 years.
Also if you do go mdti it would also add value. Probably doesn't help you at the moment though.

It is going tdi, AFN or AHU. Keeping the electrics and ecu, fly by wire ect. M pumps are a compromise in my opinion.
