Mine had already been bodged and rusted through again, so I had to cut out half the inner arch anyhow. Just didn't want to be forming metal as I'm not that good and lazy. :D

Great work my friend, and sharing your progress, and photos etc is very helpful indeed, and will no doubt be used for many references for other members here, myself included.

I have just had a replacement rear arch and lower panel fitted, not the complete panel like yourself. I'm starting to learn to weld now after forking out €250 for the job below. Just need to fill, and finish now.

Keep up the good work. Sorry to hear about your prang, but at least you have taken it on, and repairing the damage, good on you! :ok

not being rude but that is a very strange way to fit a lower arch, be cheaper to fly me over to do it...

if you look at the bottom of this page then go to p5 I think it will show it in place,

No offense taken Mike, lesson learned. My first quote for the same job was over €2k :x So €250 was a steal. As said, learning to weld myself now, and will plan on replacing the whole panels in time, but for now, enjoying my bus. Engine is sweet, just a little of seam rash to treat ready for winter, then next year will be tackling it, and rolling the new paint on :ok
