haven't heard a bad thing said about the dropping of a gear to be honest. Had no choise really. Wasn't prepared to wait till summer and spend near on a grand. We'll see if I'm sorry in the coming months. Fingers crossed.

So far she's running sweet, if a tiny bit fast in idle. Gear change a pleasure compared to the 5 speed clunky clang in she fits.

Well done back on the road. Just came close to pulling my box off again . No reverse but fiddled with the selector mechanism gearbox end and added an extra washer to increase throw towards left ( reverse ) and touch wood all ok

Running like a dream.............still. Couple of thousand miles with some good loads and not a glitch. It does slow down on the base of hills and goes even slower when climbing(40mph). But hey, it makes getting to the top a real achievement. Touch wood for a few more hundred thousand million miles:)))

And still not any problems. Done many 1000s of miles and shes feeling top dollar. Yes of course I miss the fifth gear but hey we can't have it all can we?
