When the time comes, I'm sure I'll be asking for advice. Lets hope you're a little more sincere than you're currently coming across as, eh?

I'm not sure being helpful is that high on your list of priorities here, is it?

And I will offer you advice , Why wait until its 'cold' enough , Your off to 'pit stop' so you could fix it then or at least educate yourself as to where and what things do.

Like many other owners of our fine vehicles, I've got a long list of jobs to do on the van - and the eber is pretty low down it right now.

Thanks for taking such a keen interest, though...

I'm flattered by all this attention - really I am - but I think we've gone far enough off topic already, no?

T'Onion wrote:Simon , how do you work that out ,I'm offering you help in trying to fix your heater, if you did take the time to look ,I have stripped down and rebuilt a few ebbers and have fitted loads to members vans, I even have two in my shed running . But if you don't want help then I won't offer it.

bought my eber quite a few years back but its never made it into the van yet , had it in my fishing boat for over 2 years then to the shed where it now resides its great especialy when when i want to spray some bits up in the winter makes it lovely and toastie and cheap as chips to run !!!

I wish I had a diesel eber fitted in my van.

Ebay has a lot to answer for with 20 year old ebers that are not even complete kits going for £250

they do crop up, as do cheap propex kits, I upgraded mine to a new one at £315 and sold my old one for £160(ish) still a good heater but I wanted a really good un and I cant keep my feet in front of the new one without burning me feet! Makes camping all year a pleasure!

£315? Nothing like that new on ebay. Though it's probably a bad time of year for cheap heater prices
