Fit a proper roof ?
That's helpful, cheers Ian.

Eddie which door ? slider or the front ? both ?
When I fitted mine to the poptop (remio so like the westy) I had no bother opening either , or have you fitted the leg holders to the side of the van
Back to the rail how and where have you fitted the rail ?
Try posting a few pictures up

Can anyone help me as to where i can purchase the rail to slot the bag into that fixes onto the roof please?
thanks, Kate x
further to my previous post i have now sourced the rail i need to put on the van.
My next question is will strong glue attach the rail ok or do i need to do something else?
the rail i bought has no holes for screws or self tappers.
any ideas greatly recieved
thanks
katie
I drilled 3.5 mm holes in the rail about two foot apart, then drilled corresponding holes in the roof
smeared sealant on the rail
then pop riveted the rail to the roof... strong as..

Why do you clip the legs to the van why not have them on the floor?
Also how do the clamps work, is they a way of securing it to the van that will stop someone stealing it?
k so the awnings all fitted on the van and i was just wondering how you attach the legs to the van?i know a couple people of said that you can rather than pegging it in the ground so any advice welcome on that please
depends on the awning type girls.. have you got the telescopic legs with three or two pull outs
if three then you need the body clips that self tap into the van body as the legs will extend long enough.
if two then they won't and you are forever destined to ground support

When they are clipped to the van it wont blow over the top of it when its windy, seen this happen loads to other vans. You can also move the van in to the sun to dry the awning off before putting it away or if there is a change in wind direction etc etc...
