An interesting point.
Another point to note is that there are pumps that will give better flow rates than others like the 32mm, instead of this 24mm, but higher pressure? Absolutely not. Oil pumps don’t make oil pressure.

very true, it's how 'leaky' it all is that dictates pressure with a given flow rate, lots of end float makes it 'leaky' at the pump

Amazon just delivered (7.30pm?!) a valve spring compressor, so I can crack on with the valve lapping now...not that I’ve ever done it before, just winging it as usual and following some advice from Mr Itchy.
This ones going back, the part that surprises the spring doesn’t clear the lip of the head.

Wire wheeled and primered this donated engine mounting bar. It came from a fire damaged bus I believe; so it’s a good save and will keep another T3 in the road.

Fire in a garage where it was stored.
I pulled the bungs out, drained the water out then poured old engine oil through it, more rust inside than outside, then seal the bungs in with silicone to stop more water getting in.

Turned out alright.
Next, checking part numbers next for ALD gearbox mounts (have an idea) and bell housing gasket (need help).

Lapped the valves. I can now see that the cracks between inlet and outlet ports on the heads don’t penetrate the seats, so ok to go back on.
