From what I know of meltdowns, I'd go for catastrophically lean in the detonated piston. Blocked injector?

Leaner means cooler in a diesel doesn't it? But I hear where your headed, bad spray pattern was another of my thoughts....?

Something pretty gross happened to no 3, injector must have been squirting a solid jet of fuel.

The exhaust manifold was far from flat and blowing all over the place on Jake's, both at the head and the turbo, so losing a lot of boost according to him.
I machined it flat again.

Oh dear bent the conrod aswell
is the block salvageable Lee ? The bore looks a bit furbarred.
Told you to only use red bull it's the only one that gives the vans wings

Think I'll stick to my WBX and deffo stay clear of turbo/superchargers! Years ago if you needed more power you stuck a bigger engine in !!!
