Any reports of using these with Old Man Emu shocks front and rear?

Im interested to know whether i should be concerned that the previously recommended shocks now fitted to my van are now no longer recommended.

Too soft? too dangerous ??
Have the TM fronts and in combination with new suplex fronts thoughtthe ride was very wallowy compared to my old set up but attributed it to the lift. Have yet to fit Andreas springs as I broke my thumb . Always wondered about the TM frontsas the rears come in two ratings andnow hearing the test results am quite disappointed would it be worth contacting TM about this and asking them to bring out the same shock but stiffer?

Paul that's three injuries now I count; hopefully that was lucky then and the Irish lottie jackpot is already on its way

Oh! and stiffer isn't always better, although I'm sure there is a % who will disagree (a wild guess would be 50%)

PS. Totally off the subject now, but that graph is simply resistive force against velocity, both bump and rebound. the dark blue that starts above the Y-axis at about 600 N looks interesting (881700 141 356 RT)

Stiffer in the bump or rebound or both? I would put money on the original VW spec being the best overall as they were designed for the van in an unladen condition and a fully laden condition and all points in between by the people who designed the van. Aftermarket dampers are not designed for the VW Syncro - they are designed to FIT the Syncro!
Colin Chapman who in his day was the chassis ghuru and made his cars out handle anything else on the market. He always went the soft springs/hard dampers route but each set up was very carefully matched to each design. Which brings me back to my statement - 'the original VW spec being the best overall as they were designed for the van in an unladen condition and a fully laden condition and all points in between buy the people who designed the van'.

Whilst there is a lot of science involved in chassis kinematics... Lotus are one of the world's experts, as well as Peugeot would you believe....

It is also true that with wildly varying road, load and mode - it is also a
BLACK art.

So, buy a box of black magic for your loved one, a doll and and some pins...

and dream on, because you won't get it right, the other guy will though :run

I think Im right in saying that Peugeot are the only car manufacturer that make their own dampers ...

Hello,

The order deadline was actually the first January end.

But as just another discussion of the shocks is running (in the Syncro-IG16-Forum), and some interested parties now want to think about it again, I'll order the time limit until 15. January.
Greetings Andreas

Hallo,

I've been thinking about whether it is possible to extend the suspension travel a bit by the piston rod of the shock absorber is extended with an adapter sleeve.

I now have about 1 year down the front Trailmaster shock absorbers, but they are only suitable for light Syncros because the damping is not very high.

Tests have shown that the Boge dampers 251 413 031 N has the greatest effect of all tested models.

The Boge shock but has an 8 mm shorter suspension travel, which would limit at higher Syncros specified (for example, with Andreas springs), the entanglement something.
(The Boge damper reaches its full length until a tensile force of 8 kg, which is generated during rebounding from the weight of the wheel.)

I've now made special stainless steel sleeves, which bring the Boge shock absorbers in the same length as Trailmaster.

This combination, I've now installed, and after a few trial runs, I'm really happy with it.
Even with very strong ground waves rocking the car does not, and gives a very tight driving feel.

...even now after I had about 25 000 km (some hardcore off-road use) have with the springs andreas behind me I can only say the springs are a great

back really easily mastered with the trailmaster dampers

However, at the front I also have a massive problem with soar/swing/rock/seesaw with the trailmaster (not the HD - but there will also be better not really) on floor in waves

my loading trough could sing a song of it - before it flew away...

will therefore try the boge dampers...
