I'm passing this time. Got to pull the exhaust off the DG  and there's a loud click on right turns.
Plus the VC is getting tighter

Is this trip an official Syncronauts event? I've just realised I've not joined up this year.

Hi Patrick, not as far as I'm aware. (E D I T: Let's call it semi-official). We'll just be driving on public rights of way so normal rules of the road apply as far as liabilities and insurance go, so no need for MSA competition cover. I stand to be corrected of course.

I found a farm site nearer the start for Friday night. I got a thumbs up from Neil on the route info I sent him.

The list so far seems to be:

Neil w. Dai riding shotgun DOKA
Syncropatrick BUS
Aidan BUS
Mattflint ?
Andy McCSyncro BUS
Baxter ILTIS (Sun only)
John Potter ?
Pickles BUS
Alastair SIKA
Joe (+1 or 2 kids) DOKA
Mot Falia BUS

I'll send out a PM with the details.

If anyone else wants to come please post here and I'll send the info.

Cheers, Andy

So, I take it that your starting from the lakes then?
Just to add a curve ball into the situation, if cam high road if shut, what about driving "buttertubs" I'm not exactly sure where it is though!
Its one of clarksons favorite driving roads, a road they use a bit on top gear.

I had a look at Buttertubs Pass, it looks like a nice drive. Its just to the north of Hawes, and to the north of the last two routes planned for Saturday before getting to Helwith Bridge. However it could feasibly be added to the Sunday morning, it would add about 15 miles extra to the day.

If we don't do it I may go back on a Sunday morning in the Golf with a Sigur Ros CD on !
