OK I got a bit "over-interested" in this one
Simon Baxter wrote: Fair enough, all these VC tests for someone who has little experience with syncro and doesn't know what they are meant to be like but once you've driven a shed load of them it's kinda obvious if they work or not.
Dare I say it but most haven't...
Simon Baxter wrote: A syncro soley used for road work will keep it's VC in better condition, one thats used off road will eat it quicker.
I used the syncro yesterday to do the regular 150 mile round trip eround the M25 and A21. Performed faultlessly once again and suprisingly economical!
(if only everything in life was as reliable as a DG )
Definitely a bit "scrubby" in Tunbridge Wells services forecourt on the way back though. Come to think of it, getting full lock when backing out this morning was rather heavy too.
Sod the data, it's done 100k, I think I need a fresh VC

I expect to swap out my VC soon as it has 285000 kms on it. If anyone wants to take it to bits and do a post mortem on it, be my guest.

Does anyone know What the difference is between the €654.50 & €1600.00 viscous on Bernd Jaegers website, is it brand spanking Vs recon , they both say original VW?
Are the Brickwerks ones original VW, obviously the core is, but what are the differences?
