Hi Mocki,

The engine cut out as I braked for the ramp, saw the two red lights on the dash, then as I went over the bump the engine started again on its own. I'm going to have a look to see if I can trace the source of the water leak. I'll check these connections while I'm there.

Cheers,

Cord.

Checked the connection to the coil....looks OK. Checked the ignition amplifier. The unit has 7 prongs in it, but on checking my plug connector it only has 6...Is this right?

Found the source of my water leak. It's coming out of the water jacket gasket on the left hand head....BRILLIANT!!!!!

Does anyone know of any T25 sympathetic garages/mechanics in the Leicester or Grantham area? My mechanical skills don't stretch as far as dismantling engines!

Thanks,

Cord.

Cheers Mocki,

Took it over to ajsimmo and fullsunian's place today. They're going to check out the water leak and MOT it for me. Andy did find out while I was there that the vac advance wasn't working, plus the timing was TOTALLY out. Should be something like 5 degrees after TDC....mine was 35 degrees!! No wonder it was running rough!!!!!

I didn't meet Ian, but I know that my van is in good hands as they both love T25s. Just looking forward to getting it back and being able to drive it with some confidence.
