Yes there is the seats, but having something extra like a duvet is more comfy and warmer on cold nights.

Quilt and extra bed-spread for over it (as Mrs LiS and I tend to push and pull the covers onto each other all night) and the kids have sleeping bags.
Only ever use a sleeping bag meself if I use the awning to kip.

layers are the only way to go for warmth. I have a weath of sleeping bags with varying artic ratings (Iwouldn't like to try

)but I would always go for a duvet in the van.
Fleecy blanket on the bottom to sleep on, fleecy blanket on the top with a fine duvet (for use on it's own if it's actually warm at any point) and a normal duvet on the top. Tuck in the top fleecy for yer feet (we're tall so they fall out the bed) Toastie!
