i am currently considering which way to go in terms of roof... my thinking is that if you have kids or need to sleep more than just 2 people in the van, then i high top is the way to go due to extra storage, permanent standing room and so on. however, perhaps if you only need to use the one bed then you have more choice over type of roof. i am 6'3" so a tin top is out of the question, however i would be happy with a poptop westy over a hightop purely as a matter of personal preference!

Pop Top for me, they are a lot less noisy than a high top.

If there are only two of you, you can remove the ''upstairs' mattresses, then you'll have loads more space for stowage.

Not so much wind drag either.

If you never have a route planned ...how can you ever be lost?

Generally I hear that the pop tops make more noise on the road. Our hi top makes no noise at all ??
As for camping, were far more soundproofed than with a canvas wall

-Most of us here would agree that high tops probably make better campers as its a ridgid fixed roof with loads of space.

-And most of us would also agree that pop tops look more attractive and make good enough campers anyway.

So for all the discussion on this thread it really just boils down to a choice of practicality or asthetics.

For me its a pop top.
