Lots of good input there to help, encourage others... most of which will end up in the Wiki somehow, somewhere hopefully..
That £250 welding and filling sounds exceptional value if he does a good job..
Anyway, here's another frightener to get you prodding around before it falls apart

Ok, it was Syncro that'd been wading a bit I believe - rare to be that bad...

Hopefully with everyone's input we can finally get a wiki page dedicated to the fixing of the offside panel and sill as it seems to be a common problem.
Hopefully it will inspire others to at least get their cupboards out and have a shufty behind them just in case, especially if the side sill is hidden by a bodykit

Yup...If you look there a fair bit is already there, but will add the repair suggestions above soon..
The dreaded fridge removal!!

Well, I removed it!
The fridge and all the furniture went out on Wednesday and it's now in getting the welding done. After looking at some of the nightmare photos on here it wasn't too bad, just the sill really, the floor is absolutely mint so I'm pretty lucky. Can't wait to get it back and get stuck in with the waxoyl, it's a comfort thing!
Got to sort out some new cupboards now, since taking out the old ones I want something a bit special, please point me in the right direction for some ideas, photos preferably. I'm not very handy at the carpentry but I know someone who is and I've got a nice template sitting on the patio!
Cheers

Thanks Davey,
I've just asked permission to link our Wiki through to your Galleries.. an excellent resource which, not being much of a camperman, haven't had a look at before...

Once I have repaired the panel and floor behind the fridge what can people recommend as a way of preventing the rot happening again.
I want to sound deaden the panel and floor too. Can I apply an anti-rust treatment that will not hinder the adhesion of the sound deadening mats?
Or is there a better method than sef-adhesive sound deadening mats

LOts in the Wiki about treatments and a bit about sound deadening too..
Those bitumastic self-adhesive sheest are good, though there are higher-tech ones still with embedde lead etc... Google Land Rover; noise
