Mine is a German import and the adaptor I have is the top one that has been discontinued.

Have got the van with me at work today but no camera.

Maybe they just can't get supplies of the adaptor anymore?

Image

does that look the same as yours?

not tried it at the gas station yet - just doesn't look right when i screwed it on - the bit that sticks out that you attach the hose to was loose...

can't drive at the moment - got a bust collar bone!

Well it looks the same as mine and its in the same place at the end of the tank.

The threads are external and the adaptor screws on, the bayonet fixing then ends up clamped internally against the flange of the bit sticking out of the tank, its basically like the cap that screws on the tank filler but with the sticky out bit in the middle of it, my adaptor has a rubber seal in it.

Maybe yours is not screwing on enough to clamp the bayonet up right.

that could be it - the middle bit is not tight at all and feels like the gas would escape - have to wait and try it at a gas station

Hi
I had the ACME adaptor but it just wouldnt fit too. Spoke with Steve @ Gasure and he said there were problems witha few, they have now withdrawn it, see linkk
http://www.gasure.co.uk/sales.htm

He sent me 2 of the UK style bayonet adaptors, just screw them together and then screw to tank fitting, worked a charm at the filling station and it a bit cheaper than the ACME adaptor
