Mr Hulley,

recently spoke to JP - said that on LPG'd vehicles the g'tee is not lifetime - will offer 5 years only. So, did you tell them?

I have spoken with him on the phone really nice chap, anyone had work donr by him?

tried LA performance and they were a bit hard to talk too and would only do J tubes in mild steel which is crap

Some interesting points about the LA system so just to clarify a couple of issues.
1. The system is manufactured by Phoenix Performance and has a lifetime warranty as with all their systems.
2 Using the smaller oil filter would give no problems at all and if it's good enough for the list of vehicles previously listed then why would there be a problem on a 2.1 waterboxer
3. The muffler is attached directly to the header and due to the lightweight of the header pipes and muffler further support is not really necessary but there is provision the attach it to the rear engine carrier. If you have felt the weight of a 2 or 3 year huge old original steel mufler full of carbon and rust you'd see why they felt the need for extra supports not to mention the extra weight of cast iron knuckles and complicated pipework.

You can get in touch with Steph at Manchester Aircooled for REAL product information on this systems as since they became available he hasn't fitted any original style mild steel systems. Customers obviously decide that it's a "No Brainer" to pay an extra £100 and get a full stainless steel system not to mention the nice sound and noticeable increase in pulling power

crewcab...

are you recommending this as a user, purchaser customer etc, only, or are you "advertising" it?

There is no mention of a fitting kit either.

Who exactly is the lifetime warrently with - Pheonix or the company you buy it off??

thanks

is is these people?

I am Paul owner of VW Speed Shop. I commisioned the production of these exhaust and other exhaust systems. The warranty rests with the supplier and ultimately ends up at Phoenix Exhausts.
Phoenix Exhausts only deal with distributers and not direct with the public.

Theparts needed to fit the exhaust are
1 pair of flange gaskets same as 2 litre Aircooled, 1x 3 bolt flange gasket for muffler, 4 port gaskets same as original and quote Bosun20
You will also need 6 8mm bolts 35mm in length. 6 8mm nuts and 12 8mm washers. 3 10mm bolts 35mm in length and 6 10mm washers and 3 10mm nuts.
If your replacing the bolts into the heads these are 8mm about 25/30mm in length.

I own and drive a 2.1 wasser crewcab
