Hangonamo! It just clicked. I'm sure all Carver cases are reversible? From many years in touring caravans, I've seen loads (and owned several). The top is separate to the front, you just turn the top bit round?

If you mean a mains (240 Volt) powered one then OK if you are on a mains hook up, otherwise you need a very long extension lead :wink:

You cannot run one off an inverter by the way, too much power required.

Those cheap ones from the likes of Aldi also do not give off much heat.
You really need a minimum of a 1 KW one.

I would love to find summat cheap to buy like the afore mentioned Carver item but smaller and without having to cut a ruddy great square hole in the floor of my van !!

Just been away for 2 VERY cold nights with only a 700w oil filled lecy heater. Got down to 2 degrees in the van overnight, so I'd certainly agree that at least 1kw is needed!!
