Yeh, it looks like Robsey is correct then.
That second temp sensor is usually used for injection. Just ignore it.
Apologies if I confused matters there. Keep going - welcome aboard!!
P.S. The fan aspect sensor / switch is screwed into the radiator itself.

Re: Which hose goes where?
Odd way to spend a bank holiday I know but I think at last it is done. Rechecked the flow of pipes and the one from the top of the thermostat was going to the top hose so swapped them out. Cut back the wires to the other temp sensor and then discovered that there was some odd wiring going on in any case. The brown wire from the temp sensor had been cut into and a black wire joined to it going to nowhere. I put this to earth and hey presto the gauge started working again I suspect this may have been to do with when it was injected if it was. So tidied up the rest of the wiring started it up and bled it out. although people say it is not necessary I did have the front jacked up to check the hose flow and I did think it bled out quicker. So ran it up to full temp fan cutting in and out, temp just passed midway, let it cool down topped it up and ran it up again and once more for luck and it all seems very fine. Ticks over nicely runs at mid 80' degrees no leaks so put it all back together again just a new ignition barrel tomorrow and if it arrives, the hose from the RH head to the dist tower and I think it's all done. So just like to say a big thank you for all contributors especially Smiffo for your help and advice I think next time he says it's not running right I'm going to be busy
