I think you fitted the head gasket on upside down! if you look at the head [in your pic]the oil comes up from the block next to the second bolt hole from the right.
Have a look at the gasket!

I looked at that also and I wasn't sure at first but then the marks are correct when zoomed in.

Other advice may be given. Your engine is a 1,6td isn't it? The cylinder head advertised off ebay is for a normal aspirated engine but covers different engine codes. It said JR well then this means hydraulic buckets and not shimmed adjusted as is on your engine. This will not fit to your cast iron cylinder block and match to the oil galleries on your engine. This cylinder head advertised has a extra oil gallery which yours has not. Some one will come along to give there advice to confirm or not what I said. But I ran a hydraulic adjusted cam bucket engine and the engine code was JR so I am going by my own experience and no there are diffrences between shim adjusted buckets heads JX engine code and JR engine code with hydraulic adjusting buckets .

Well I looked again at the engine codes it will cover and it says JX & JR which is a surprise to me as I remember I ordered a head gasket was specific to only fit a JX or a other type to fit only a JR . Sorry if it sounds confusing hopefull some one might come along to give there advice

about what you would pay for a blown non runner, i mean how do you know its not, unless seller says fit it and if your happy pay for it as opposed to paying for it and seeking redress after if not good. therein lies the dilemma
