These intrigue me. Black reflectors?

US seller.....E marked RoHS CE approved....I don't think CE & RoHS are anything to do with type approval and E mark just means that it has complied some where along the line with European rules. There isn't anything suggesting that they might comply with UK regulations, specifically pattern on R/H/D vehicles. They do look cool though.

I used to work in the regulatory environment.
Some manufactures in China used to put in CE claiming it stood for China Export

Bought a pair of Crystals and set out to fit them but didn't want to be using cable ties or spurious clips to mount them. So I bought a pair of plastic Lucas headlight buckets.

Image

The headlamp fitted easily into the chrome bezel, but the bowl was too deep to fit into the VW bracket. So I cut the bowl off, just leaving the front flange.

Image

The flange fitted into the VW bracket, just needing a couple of holes drilled to take the adjusters and for the fixing screws......

The new lamp then fitted in and was easily within the range of the adjusters.

Fitted back on, set to match the marks on the wall from the old lights and the jobs a good one. I think they match the inner lights sufficiently to leave as is.

Well done fella. I never actually saw that through as adjustment range was my concern. Lucas adaptation far superior as you suddenly get hundreds of headlight units that will fit straight in. Well, Hella or aftermarket? I say aftermarket.

Nice job. What's with the little LED strips under the bumper? Running lights! Or do they come on with the sides?

They are running lights, ignition fed. £2.48 off ebay.

WIKI'd - too good to leave.

Also edited headlight sections in WIKI so they're more logical.

Thanks for immortalising me Ralph.
On the subject of the wiki, attempts to view the wiring diagrams for relays on the headlamps leads to a lovely picture of Durdle Door. Very relaxing but doesn't improve the headlights. :rofl

Definately fit relays AND a new path from battery. I use fat cables on mine (battery to relays - all in WIKI). Overkill no bad thing. Brighter bulbs optional. For vehicles with singular headlights, just omit centre lights/circuit. I used a dual relay - lot simpler to install to be honest as its all together then and simpler to mount but works same as two singular ones.
