Humm it's a little more than I expected, I would assume this is not in mass production and a one off! A nice set up and well designed if I may say so. I have just gone for a more conventional intercooler sat up above the gearbox with no fan.
I'll take some pics when the sun comes back around tomorrow. At least the days are now getting longer by 3mins a day!

Why does everything I "want" - scrub that, need - cost so much?

people have done well putting it where you have. (I'm syncro, so no room above gearbox) a scoop of some sort to direct air to it and you will be very happy with results.

Your set up looks great and im sure if your friend had them for sale and available on the brickwerks site, he may have some orders?
I have just purchased the Brickwerk's dash pod for two VDO gauges. Opted for the turbo boost gauge and oil temperature. Now sorting the boost pipe set up. Decided to take it off the inlet manifold for the boost pipe. The intercooler is nicely positioned and didn't cost a lot to do. Came off a Vauxhall, and fits really nicely up beside the gearbox. I'll take some photo's in the day light tomorrow.

Here is my new intercooler in position using a simple method two earthing clamps and an M8 hanging down from a nicely positioned steel in the manufacturing process. For under a £10.
